Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Here’s to 2012.  May it be full of magic and wonder.

  1. Happy New Year to you as well!

Might I say that it is a little sad of me (and a great attesting to my homebodyness) that while I live in NYC, and this will be my second New Year’s Celebration here, I have no intentions of attending the ball dropping in Times Square thus far or any time in the near future. Maybe if I miraculously grow a self-promotional back-bone (or some other equally as unlikely occurrence) and miraculously become an instant best-seller, perhaps I’d consider indulging in an exorbitantly overpriced hotel reservation so that I may be within the “you leave, you can’t come back in” over-packed zone for the next year. As, by the use of “miraculously” more than once in that statement suggests, it is unlikely to happen any time soon, I don’t think I’ll be attending the iconic ceremony in the foreseeable future. But, I’ll let you know if that changes.

Because, you know… I know you’re holding your fantastically successful breath for such information from little ol’ me. lol.

Wow… can I invent any more reasons to procrastinate finishing up my editing? lol.

Well, on a more appropriate note, I will say this:

Congratulations on a successful 2011, Ms. Shea, and I wish you to have an even more prolific, fun, and successful 2012. You’re definitely making a good start of it.

    1. LOL! Gosh, us writer folk are such hermits! I live in London … major parties everywhere, fireworks on the Thames. And yet where am I? In my pajamas at home with melting chocolate puddings, DVDs, and a bottle of vino. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be. 🙂

Here’s to an outstanding year of writing for both of us!
